This orphanage was founded the 21st of January in 1989. It is an institution that dedicates itself to give help, education and housing to maltreated, abused and orphaned girls. In that way homeless and underprivileged girls are given a protected and loving home. The orphanage is situated in Bonao, in the center of the Dominican Republic, north-west of Santo Domingo. During the week the girls have classes and in the weekends there are always different activities planned.

The volunteers will participate in giving sports classes, psychology tutorials and therapies. Additional tasks might be in the areas of medical assistance, water management of the house or helping in the gardens. The participants will take part in an arrival orientation, a mid stay orientation and an end of stay camp. In these camps important subjects will be discussed, such as the participant’s relationship and development with the host family, project and inside the community.
