Dear AFS members, volunteers, host & sending families and friends,

I am excited to announce that Mr. Daniel Obst, the President & CEO of AFS International, will honor this year’s GA with his presence. Daniel is eager to get acquainted with you as part of our AFS base and hear about your views; so don’t hesitate to talk to him – in German or English.

I also warmly recommend you to stay for our Awards Dinner: We will celebrate the volunteers of the year and give appreciation to our key volunteers as well as the parting Board Members during dinner. As a highlight, Daniel Obst will present the prestigious Galatti Award to Lisa Marti!
As always, our annual General Assembly presents good opportunities to get together with old AFS friends, to meet new ones and to keep in touch with the goings-on of our organization.

The GA background papers will be emailed to you upon registration. Should you be unable to attend the GA, they can be sent to you on request.
If you would like to stay overnight, we have reserved a contingency of hostel rooms; please indicate this in the registration as well.

We are looking forward to welcoming you at the GA and the dinner, and thank the Chapter Solothurn for their hospitality.

On behalf of the National Board,

Suzanne Weigelt, Chair of the Board AFS Switzerland
